Set in the far future, The Prism Effect by J Wint is a spine-tingling science-fiction novel rich in intrigue and mysticism. Superbly written, the story fires the imagination from the very beginning. The combination of the race against the clock and the distinctive characters creates a suspenseful and unforgettable first book in what promises to be a spectacular series. The author built a fabulous story world that is easy to imagine. The realism of Skylight’s society and its technical devices are fantastic and believable. The skylight system with its nine orbiting belts is a fascinating concept, and the history behind the system and its creator has some intriguing aspects. It is an exciting book that will thrill young adults and everybody else who relishes science-fiction novels with a hint of mysticism and a dystopian flavor.
